NATICK — The Natick Hybrid Town Meeting Committee voted to finalize its report on hybrid participation despite a split decision on the document's format. Chair Grace led the panel through a divided motion after member Frank objected to the executive summary's structure, splitting the vote into substance and form. The substance passed 7-0 with one abstention; the format passed 4-3 with one abstention, Frank among three no votes.
Member Saul had argued the committee's community survey, which drew "360 or so responses," was "ungated," saying "I have no idea who voted, and you don't either." The report now heads to the Finance Committee on September 17 and Fall Town Meeting, which opens October 20.
