Natick Sets National Night Out for Aug. 4 at High School
NATICK — Natick issued an air quality alert Thursday as wildfire smoke drifted back into the region, urging sensitive groups to limit outdoor activity, even as the town set a date for its Fall Annual Town Meeting and prepared for its annual National Night Out event.
TOWN HALL
The town's most urgent notice this week was a wildfire-smoke air quality alert, posted Thursday morning, advising residents in sensitive groups — including children, older adults and people with respiratory conditions — to limit time outdoors while smoke levels remain elevated. The alert did not specify an end date.
Town officials also announced Fall Annual Town Meeting will convene Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. at Kennedy Middle School, according to an "Intent to Call" notice posted this week by the town.
Separately, the Natick Police Department confirmed it will host Natick Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Natick High School, in partnership with community organizations. The event, part of the National Night Out program, will include free food and games for residents.
