Charles River Dam Concrete Removal Complete, Wrap-Up Set For September

Crews have finished removing all concrete from the Charles River Dam spillway and apron, and the town's contractor expects to demobilize the site by the end of September, according to a construction update posted by the town.

Work continues on the fish ladder and masonry repairs at the Charles River Dam, and officials say a monitoring and maintenance plan is being finalized for after crews leave the site, according to the town's construction update.

The Department of Public Works also issued an updated roadway improvement schedule for the week of Aug. 31, following a separate schedule covering paving work in the Water Street neighborhood the week of Aug. 24. Residents on affected streets should expect continued construction activity into early September.
