Study group recruits experts, centralizes turf research for town review
Natural and Synthetic Turf Field Study Group · Meeting of March 2, 2026
Natick's Natural and Synthetic Turf Field Study Group confirmed expert interviews and established a centralized research repository as it prepares a recommendation on field surfaces. Chair Julie McDonough and all four members — including newly joining Board of Health representative Karla Sangrey — approved prior minutes and outlined interviews with Art Goodhind on field installation and maintenance, Parks and Recreation, and consultant firms. Matt Brand will contact Tim Collins and Matt Gillis for March 23; Bruce Evans will reach out to Weston and Sampson.
The group plans four meetings through April 13 to gather health, technical, and sustainability input.
