NATICK — Select Board advances Hill Street toward acceptance while denying Point Street petition. The Select Board voted 5-0-0 on September 16 to recommend Hill Street for street acceptance, which would add it to the town road inventory and increase Chapter 90 state funding eligibility once approved at Town Meeting, while denying Point Street (5-0-0) due to substantial costs and infrastructure barriers residents would face independently. The Board also granted an S.12 All Alcohol license to Alma Gaucha steakhouse at Natick Mall (5-0-0), approved an Adams Street public-way permit for commercial dumpsters with direction to explore relocation (5-0-0), and voted 5-0-0 to support five fall Town Meeting articles including a sidewalk snow removal study committee.

Deputy Finance Director Ari Sky presented a five-year forecast projecting budget shortfalls beginning in FY28 under multiple scenarios, with the Board directing the finance team to return September 30 with comparative peer-community data on OPEB funding and outlining board consensus to eliminate operational free-cash use by FY31.
