Natick School Committee unanimously approved the 2026-27 school calendar starting August 26. The vote (6-0) followed the teachers union recommendation for a Wednesday opening. Principal Blocker presented high school budget adjustments including a new college and career counselor position.

Assistant Superintendent of Finance Matthew Gillis proposed $207,000 in user fee increases across athletics, transportation, and programs; Committee members questioned $100 hikes for hockey and Alpine skiing. Superintendent Dr. Melissa Spash committed to transparent financial aid communication.

The Committee postponed voting on the non-represented staff salary schedule pending adoption of a reorganization that would eliminate the Director of Communications and realize $106,000 in savings.
