The Budget Subcommittee, chaired by Kate Flathers, reviewed transportation, athletic, and activity fee recommendations, with staff presenting data showing a prior $25 bus fee increase generated approximately $50,000 without affecting ridership. The committee discussed recommending a further $25 transportation increase raising fees to $250, increases of $50 to $100 to athletic fees depending on sport, and an ASAP fee increase to cover indirect costs.
Committee recommendations reflected 6 to 10 percent increases across all categories, to be implemented gradually.
