NATICK — Planning Board advances West Central mixed-use development to next hearing. The hybrid meeting on July 1 focused on a continued public hearing for 273 West Central Street, where Fort Point Associates and Gables Residential presented refined architectural designs and landscape updates for a proposed five-story, 219-unit mixed-use development with approximately 4,000 square feet of flexible non-residential space. Design updates included an enlarged residential entrance, simplified material palette, redesigned landscaping, and expansion of the MBTA pedestrian connector path from six to eight feet wide.

Vice-Chair Andrew Meyer requested additional truck-turning analyses for larger vehicles, and the Board sought further evaluation of pedestrian crossing improvements at the Route 135 and Kendall Green intersection. The Planning Board voted unanimously (5-0-0) to continue the hearing to July 29, 2026, and also unanimously reappointed Terri Evans as the Planning Board's representative to the Open Space Advisory Committee.
