Planning Board advances mixed-use zoning amendments to Fall warrant. The Natick Planning Board voted unanimously on August 19 to place two proposed zoning bylaw amendments on the 2026 Fall Annual Town Meeting warrant. The first amendment would clarify non-residential uses permitted within mixed-use developments in the Downtown Mixed-use and Center Gateway zoning districts, allowing up to 20 percent of required first-floor non-residential space to be occupied by residential support amenities.

The second would add these districts to an existing parking demand analysis provision and correct a drafting error in the parking credit schedules. The Board also continued public hearings on a four-lot residential subdivision at 0 Pleasant Street and a proposed Chick-fil-A development at 1235 Worcester Street to September 9.
