Transportation Advisory Committee · Meeting of January 13, 2026

Natick Transportation Advisory Committee approves 2026 schedule and backs MassTrails grant. The five-member committee voted unanimously to support the town's application for funding an alternatives study on connecting the Cochituate Rail Trail extension to North Main Street near Natick Center Station, with Transportation and Economic Development Planner Morgan Griffiths noting the town's original design is financially infeasible. The Committee also adopted two-year officer term limits, with Chair Ed Doherty and Vice Chair Joanna Carey each agreeing to continue for one additional year.

Doherty proposed 2026 goals including traffic calming measures and continued meetings with the MetroWest Regional Transit Authority, with the full goals discussion to continue at the February meeting.
