Natick Recreation and Parks Commission reviewed two Community Preservation Act grant applications advancing major park projects. Staff submitted applications for South Natick Parks and Murphy Field improvements, with the Murphy Field request increased from $33,000 to $150,000 to enable continuous project progress without funding pauses. According to Director Lauren Meurer and Community Services Director Angela Snell, the additional funding will streamline the design phase.
A public hearing on both applications is scheduled for July 21 at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall. David Ordway was unanimously appointed as the Recreation and Parks representative to the Open Space Advisory Committee for a three-year term.
