Natick's Main Street Corridor Improvement Project working group convened for its first design review. Morgan Griffiths, Transportation and Economic Development Planner, and Wing Wong of McFarland Johnson, the project's consulting engineer, presented design options and outlined two funding pathways: Massworks grant funding or Transportation Improvement Program funding requiring full MassDOT compliance. Working group members including business owners, residents, and town staff raised concerns about intersection safety, bike lane protection, truck delivery locations, and parking configurations.

McFarland Johnson agreed to evaluate design modifications including bike lane markings at driveways, removal of a Pond Street crosswalk, and changes to one-way street directions before a second meeting.
