Morse Library approves FY27 budget, welcomes Bacon Library director.

NATICK — Morse Library trustees approve FY27 budget and welcome new Bacon Library director. The Board of Trustees unanimously approved prior minutes and learned that Town Meeting endorsed the $2,854,074 Fiscal Year 2027 budget for Morse Institute Library. Director Miki Wolfe reported the installation of five security cameras as of May 13 to reduce blind spots, ongoing HVAC work, and a Children's Room recarpeting project running May 18-22.

Since April 13, the library has interviewed 22 high-quality candidates for multiple positions, including two pages, two circulation assistants, and one part-time Information Services Librarian; hiring a Technical Services Assistant is in progress. The Trustees welcomed Kaitlynne Kam, former Assistant Branch Manager at Brighton Beach Library in Brooklyn, as the new Bacon Free Library Director.
