Library Board approves revised fine policy; launches long-range planning process

Natick Library Board approves revised fines policy, authorizes long-range planning consultant search. The five-member board voted unanimously to update its Overdue Fines Policy, primarily replacing references to the Speed Reads collection with the Lucky Day collection. Board President Kathleen Donovan proposed that she and Director Miki Wolfe select a planning consultant; trustees Sally McCoubrey, Ruth Link, and Jane Ellen Newman will form a steering committee.
The library received a Connected and Online grant from the Commonwealth covering 30 pieces of technology, including replacement of all public computers across three floors and additional stations in Information Services and Children's areas; initial FY26 State Aid to Public Libraries was announced at $46,497.
