NATICK — Hybrid Town Meeting Committee hears pitch from Meridia Interactive Solutions on voting platform. Meridia representatives outlined their TownVote and CloudVote system, which integrates in-person clicker voting and remote internet-based participation into a single tally and serves 95-plus communities nationally. Base pricing is $9,950 with 100 remote licenses included in year one; ongoing remote access runs $995 annually.
On-site support costs $4,500 per meeting. Moderator Jeff Alderson submitted detailed follow-up questions on bandwidth, security, multi-factor authentication, and integration with existing town systems. Committee members also reviewed precinct-level survey data showing divergent preferences: Precincts 8 and 9 favored in-person attendance; Precincts 4, 3, and 2 showed greater openness to remote voting; and overall public support for hybrid meetings reached 77 percent.
