Hybrid Town Meeting Committee approves prior minutes and advances legal analysis.

Hybrid Town Meeting Committee · Meeting of March 4, 2026

Natick Hybrid Town Meeting Committee approves prior minutes and receives legal analysis on hybrid town meeting authority. Town Counsel Karis North advised the committee that hybrid town meeting authority in Massachusetts is temporary, governed by session law with a June 30, 2027 sunset date, and that remote participants must count fully toward quorum and receive identical voting rights as in-person members. The committee scheduled technology vendor presentations with Echo360 on March 18 and Meridia Technology on April 1, with costs including both technology and staff support.

The public survey has collected approximately 215 responses, and the committee plans to present a status update at the spring town meeting with a formal report expected in fall.
