Historic District Commission approves heat pump condenser with screening conditions.

Historic District Commission · Meeting of March 26, 2026

NATICK — Historic District Commission unanimously approves heat pump installation with screening. The commission voted 8-0 to grant a Certificate of Appropriateness for a heat pump condenser at 18 Pleasant Street, contingent on installation at the primary location on the house's right side and evergreen vegetation screening to shield the unit from public view on Merrill Road. Chair Chris Milford reported the commission will shift from OpenGov portal uploads to Google Drive folder organization to improve application assembly and review, while maintaining public access.

The commission also approved a pre-submission review process allowing the Chair to assess completeness before formal application logging begins, and Milford committed to revising six proposed amendments to Rules and Regulations for circulation to members and Town Counsel by the next meeting.
