NATICK — Economic Development Committee advances food-truck policy review in response to business owner's challenges. The committee agreed to pursue additional work updating the town's food-truck policy after hearing from Natick resident and business owner Salimata, who described obstacles in establishing a mobile food operation. Community Economic Development Director Amanda Loomis noted the policy should be reviewed holistically with the business community, balancing mobile-vendor opportunities with brick-and-mortar restaurant interests, while CED staff member Morgan Griffiths offered to work directly with the business owner and relevant town departments.
Chair Paul Joseph indicated a follow-up discussion and working group would be pursued.
