Cultural Council approves spring grantee showcase, eyes new funding strategy.

NATICK — The Natick Cultural Council authorized planning for a March grantee showcase at the Morse Institute Library and discussed revamping its award strategy. Treasurer Ann Eggleston reported the council dispersed $16,298.95 in grants during 2025, with $18,168.00 budgeted for 2026 awards. Members agreed to pursue visibility at town events including the Farmers Market and Natick Days to attract new members and grantees.
The council scheduled an April meeting to debate shifting from spreading smaller awards among all qualified applicants to concentrating larger grants on fewer grantees and potentially requiring repeat awardees to sit out a year.
