Council on Aging Safety Workgroup finalizes strategic objectives

NATICK — Council on Aging launches safety workgroup with financial-fraud focus. The Safety Workgroup, a three-member group comprising Jim Fitzgerald, Laura Forker, and Mal Sockol, confirmed a Financial Safety series starting March 5 addressing scams and fraud. The workgroup also coordinated with the Natick Police Department on a fraud-prevention presentation for the full Council on Aging Board meeting on March 9.
Strategic priorities include senior driving safety, home and auto break-in prevention, and hands-on safety activities such as fire extinguisher training, with planned outreach to town libraries and town hall. The workgroup finalized objectives for submission to the town's Strategic Planning Committee.
