Council on Aging directs Active Aging Week registration study

Council on Aging · Meeting of February 9, 2026

Natick's Council on Aging votes to pursue Active Aging Week registration. The board unanimously voted to have Director of Council on Aging and Human Services Donna Tarutz investigate registering for the International Council on Active Aging's October 5-11 program, which provides free campaign tools for communities promoting active aging. Registration must occur by mid-spring to participate this year.

The board also reviewed its $690,000 annual budget, a 4 percent increase over the prior year, and voted to investigate why the current budget is approximately $250,000 less than the 2019 budget. The unanimous 11-0 vote clears the way for staff action.
