NATICK — Council on Aging approves retroactive change extending associate-member terms to three years. The 11-member board voted unanimously on the Governance Subcommittee proposal, affecting previously appointed members. In separate action, the board voted 8-3 to endorse the Natick Police Stop Elder Financial Abuse program roadshow and offer assistance with rollout at senior housing locations, though COA staff cannot organize events off-site.
Director Donna Tarutz reported spring programming expansions including new Yin Yoga, intergenerational Rivers School workshops, and upcoming trips to Ogunquit and Newport Mansions. The Strategic Planning Subcommittee is pursuing a Massachusetts Council on Aging facilitator for June to clarify board and staff collaboration.
