Crews breaking apart the concrete spillway at the Charles River Dam have passed the halfway point, the town said in a construction update posted August 7, as in-water work and related park closures continue nearby.

Removal of the spillway's concrete is now about 50 percent complete, according to the town's News Flash update. The contractor continues to use heavy equipment to break the concrete apart and haul it away from the site.
